Most of the time when the buff is limited to a certain area it is at least a 30x30 area. With the 6 minute timer this is very annoying to pin down so I didn't bother most of the time.&lt;br /&gt;

It seems like eco conditions from growing the veggie can make seed reproing stop, but most of the time a place where you got the buff or near it works.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If it fails to grow because of eco conditions or the wrong soil type you do not get the buff.&lt;br /&gt;

*With the buff I could grow right near where I got the buff. Later tried same spot and did not work, did not investigate further as I grew 600 seeds the first time and already gave out 500 of them. Unlikely to bother with more testing until actual crossbreeding&lt;br /&gt;

*Seems to also work for growing to get seeds&lt;br /&gt;
*However, also was able to get seeds from just randomly planting until it worked before this was figured out and the spot does not fit this pattern&lt;br /&gt;
*Have not tested further as I got 300 seeds and gave 200 away the first time, unlikely to bother until actual crossbreeding&lt;br /&gt;

Each action has a small chance (maybe 5-10%) of having it's effect, calculated separately for each factor it might modify. &lt;div&gt;Still very early into investigations so this information is sketchy at best, but here is what I found in the ~two days I've worked on this seriously.&lt;br /&gt;

You seem to only be able to get each buff every 6-7 minutes (can refresh when it says 53mXXs remaining), but this timer does not restrict getting different buffs.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Most of the time when the buff is limited to a certain area it is at least a 30x30 area. With the 6 minute timer this is very annoying to pin down so I didn't bother most of the time.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
It seems like eco conditions from growing the veggie can make seed reproing stop, but most of the time a place where you got the buff or near it works.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If it fails to grow because of eco conditions or the wrong soil type you do not get the buff.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

*Grow onions on sand near silt, get buff, every silt I looked at worked on 20+ cases&lt;br /&gt;

*Have not tested further as I got 300 seeds and gave 200 away the first time, unlikely to bother until actual crossbreeding&lt;br /&gt;
