The '''Desert Obelisk''' is the first obelisk type available to the people of Egypt. It is built to pass the [[Test of the Obelisk]] (or the principle thereof), or simply for decoration.

As with all obelisks, it is built in a [[Small Construction Site]], where the builder defines the size of the obelisk-to-be in cubits. The taller the obelisk, the greater the material requirements.

This building becomes available when you learn the [[Obelisk Construction 1]] tech. You must also have started the [[Test of the Obelisk]].
