Whilst most games don't allow for this in online games, '''A Tale in the Desert''' allows them on one caviat - you don't go AFK (Away from Keyboard). What this means is that if you use a Macro, you MUST be at your computer, and must respond to any Game Master who speaks to you. You will know when this happens, as the chat box will have GM: followed by their name on it, and they will sport a banner over their avatar head that clearly defines them to be a Game Master.

Automato is a LUA-based automation program which is useful for any automation task which primarily involves screen scraping and sending mouse clicks, with a special focus on automating video games. Automato was originally called ''Jimbly's VeggieTales'', as it was initially developed for growing vegetables in A Tale in the Desert, but has grown to be used in other games as well. '''See the [[Macro/Automato/Install|Installation]] page for more detailed installation instructions.'''
