Beer Brewing Automation is a multiple level skill from the School of Body allowing one to brew Beer without having to be near the beer kettle for every stage of the brewing. One must first learn Beer Brewing Science, which is learned automatically upon successfully brewing and barrelling a beer manually. Automation uses Candles and Ropes to make timers to schedule operations ("Schedule" menu appears after refreshing kettle window after selecting the Beer button but before starting). Each level allows additional operations to be scheduled. Future levels of this skill - or another like it - will allow for the automatic closing of the lid, as well. Note that the times you specify are the amount of seconds *into* the brewing cycle you wish to add the ingredient. So a recipe calling for an addition of 150 Medium Malt at 1150 would mean you would input 150 for quantity of ingredient and 50 for time, as 1150 is 50 seconds into the brew cycle. I have observed very slightly different beer results when using automatic brewing vs adding ingredients manually at as close to the same time as I can manage - interested to see if this happens for others, as well, and what it might imply about how brewing actually works.
