The Stone Blade Fabrication skill allows Slate to be shattered into Stone Blades using the menu option Skills → Blades → Make a Stone Blade and costs 2 Slate per Stone Blade created. Note that, until a character's Stone Blade Fabrication skill has reached level 7, creating Stone Blades has a chance of failing and losing 1 Slate in the process.
Creating Stone Blades
The Stone Blade Fabrication skill starts at level 1. Creating a Stone Blade requires 2 Slate. Each time you attempt to make a Stone Blade, one of three things will happen to the 2 Slate used:
- 1 Slate will shatter and be lost, and 1 will break cleanly, forming a Stone Blade.
- 2 Slate will shatter and be lost.
- 1 Slate will shatter and be lost, and 1 Slate will remain intact. When this happens, your Stone Blade Fabrication skill will increase by 1.

Blade Fabrication
Various knife blades can be made. You must be at the correct level and have completed all 7 levels of proficiency for the previous blade type before you can learn the next level.
Blade types and Carving Skill are not the same. Blade Skill allows the crafting of particular types of knives. Carving Skill allows the whittling of various objects. The kinds of objects you can make with Carving Skill maybe be dependent on the type of blade you wield.
