Go to the mutagen Page and find a splint that has a Range between the 2 gene ranges.         • It is always best to double check the Gene Ranges by using the Math formulas.
          • Formula for Minimum Range is:
            • (X-1) / L * 100% (Note: X=gene number & L=Genome Length)
          • Formula for Maximum Range is:

Example

In This Example we want to move Gene 12(I) on crimson to an (O) so that our Child flower has a gene set of IOOO instead of IOO IO (this will change the look of our stamen on crimson child). We go to "Crimson Gene Range" to find the range for gene 12. (which is 10.38%-11.32%) Now we must find a mutagen with (Splint Ranges) between the (Gene Ranges). Go to MUTAGENS Splint Ranges Page ^^shown above^^ and find a Mutagen with those ranges on left or right splints. For our example we will use Crackly Smelly Spotted (there can be several different mutagens with the needed Splint Ranges). The Left splint is 97.30%-97.73% and the Right Splint is 10.38%-10.96%. The right Splint will work to Move Crimson gene 12(I). Now we must look for a Sea Lily that has an (O) in the Gene Range that will Match the Left splint Range of 97.30%-97.73%. There are 5 Sea Lilies that fit our Gene Ranges that have an (O) in our needed Range. Blush, Clarity, Dusk, Fracture and Vampire. So just Pick on of those. (We Will pick Vampire for our example.) Now it is time to make our Flower. Put Vampire on the Left Splint of the Greenhouse and Crimson on Right, Add our mutagen Crackly Smelly Spotted, wait one min and the second child will be our newly made Crimson with the 12th gene now an (O).

  • NOTE: with mutagens you get 2 bulbs from the cross. The first is "user name #..." (smallest number) it comes from the flower put on left splint which in this Example is Vampire and the second is "user name #..." (Largest number) it comers from the Right splint which is Crimson, the one we wanted to change. For this Reason we should always start left splint then Right Splint when adding bulbs to the Greenhouses. Less confusion when removing from the greenhouses as to which child is the one that we want to change the genome of.

THIS EXAMPLE WAS FROM T7 IT WILL NOT WORK FOR T8 but it will give you idea till we get mutagenes for T8
