Introduction

Macros is the generic term for any program that does something for you in-game that means you don't need to manually do it.

Whilst most games don't allow for this in online games, A Tale in the Desert allows them on one caviat - you don't go AFK (Away from Keyboard). What this means is that if you use a Macro, you MUST be at your computer, and must respond to any Game Master who speaks to you. You will know when this happens, as the chat box will have GM: followed by their name on it, and they will sport a banner over their avatar head that clearly defines them to be a Game Master.

Available Software

You can create your own software if you have the skills to do so, but for most people, they use software that has already been created, and then run scripts on that software to do the specific chore in the game. The software with known scripts are:

Windows

OS X

  • xnee

Linux

Platform Agnostic

  • SikuliX
  • jaditd (written using the aforementioned SikuliX)

Pre-made Scripts

Pre-made scripts can be found in Category:Macro. Wiki editors, just add [[Category:Macro]] to the script information page.
