Use
Scientists will assist with research on use of Alembics (Information only)
There is no skill to learn once researched. After research is complete and off timer, a new option appears on the University of Thought menu: "Special Research". This option further leads to: "Read Scientists Notes on Distillation Experiments". A window will appear providing what appears to be already known information on production of Spirits:
While this information would have been useful when alembics were first introduced to the game, I see no reason to ever research this tech again unless it changes from tale to tale. Nor does there appear to be a reason to open in multiple regions. In my opinion, it would be better if this tech increased skill in alembic usage (allowing more spirits to be made or making Ra's easier, for example) rather than providing unneeded information.
