For public comment, please use the Talk:Kush Ballot Act page. I've included some annotations in preformatted text below that will not appear in the final petition.

Section 1 - Repeal and Replace

This law repeals and replaces in entirety the Single Ballot Law.

Section 2 - Ballot Process

The ballot process shall return to multi-law ballots.

Any bill which attains at least 60% approval shall be passed into law. Bills above 50% shall be carried forward to the next ballot.

Changed the number to be 60% instead of just over 50% as there should be a threshold involved since the competitive element of laws is being done away with.

Any bill which has enough votes to carry forward but isn't passed shall not carry forward after the 3rd time in a row appearing on the ballot and not passing. It shall instead be returned to petition status with 0 signatures if any Kushian is still carrying the petition, or discarded if not.

This is added to prevent the ballots from getting clogged.

The amount of bills that can appear on a ballot shall be limited to no more than 8.

Section 2a - Conflicting Laws

In the event there are two bills that directly conflict with each other on the same ballot that both attain at least 60% approval, the bill with the higher percentage between the two shall pass.

If both bills have a tie vote, all current elders will be given 24 hours to vote on the two bills. The bill with the most votes will pass into law. The bill with fewer votes will be discarded instead of carried forward.

Should this second vote end in a tie, neither bill will pass and they both will be carried forward to the next ballot.

Section 3 - Code of Conduct Bills

The Code of Conduct process shall remain the same, however the threshold for a petition making the ballot shall be lowered to 25.
