Styx: You can use common ingredients for MP's -- pick pairs that are very close to together but far from other pairs. Stats make no difference (so have grilled veggies on you to eat after each one). For example, I've used 7 fish that are far apart on the grid, and just pick the closest herb to each that I have on hand for a pair.. You usually get an MP. The rarer the additive herb the more likely, tho.
