Kush Constitution - Exilement Guidelines

From A Wiki in the Desert
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Section 1 - Process

The general process is a 3-strike process for potentially exile-worthy behaviors, with a brief trial before a faction member is finally exiled.

These steps should be on a per-behavior basis to completely rule out ignorance and maintain a high standard of fairness.

However, if elders believe a person to be abusing the system or the person is an apostate they may move directly to 1-C.

Section 1-A - First Strike

This is a simple warning. An elder should contact the accused in private and warn them that if they continue they may be exiled.

Section 1-B - Second Strike

This is a more severe warning. Elders should warn that further offenses will not be tolerated. This warning should be made publicly available so that Kushians can keep an eye on the accused.

Section 1-C Trial and Exile

Elders should at this point declare their intent to exile the accused, state what the accused has done that is exile worthy, and what evidence there is against the accused. The accused should be able to respond if timing reasonably allows it.

After hearing the evidence, the people should be given the chance to give their opinion before the elder makes their final judgement.

Section 2 - Appeal

An exiled Kushian may petition any elder for appeal and readmission into the faction.

If an exiled Kushian is granted reentry into the faction, no other elder should exile the readmitted without further offenses being committed.
