KayGee Elder Q&A

Q1: Tell a bit about yourself for those that do not know you.

This is my first tale playing ATITD. My real-life spouse, Spatulus, who is currently a Meshwesh Elder, convinced me that it was a game I would enjoy, and he was right! I enjoy helping with research and projects and doing tests. I live in South Sinai not far from the Taba CS. I discovered I am a gatherer in this game - I love herbing, mushroom-hunting, and gathering coconuts and palm fronds, even when I don't necessarily need them. I've been cross breeding flowers, at first just for fun and then for research bulbs, too. I'm looking forward to trying some chemistry and alchemy. There's so much to learn in this game!

Q2: The position of Elder brings power to both ban 8 and invite 8 people to our faction. Under what circumstances would you use an Elder Ban to ban someone from the faction?

It would take something pretty extreme for me to ban someone from the faction. The player base is already fairly small, and I can't really imagine ever needing to ban someone from the faction.

Q3: In other tales elected leaders (DP) at the beginning of the tale leave before the game end. What is your commitment to the game and how will you manage to last the entire tale?

I am committed to staying through the end of the tale. I find there are still so many things to learn that I can't see myself getting bored, especially when I tackle chemistry and alchemy. There are still tests for me to complete as well. I really want to finish as many tests as I can, and I'll help others finish their tests when I can as well.

Q4: Why should we vote for you? What do you bring to the Elder group?

We need active Elders to lead the faction for the rest of the tale, and we are already missing some Elders who are no longer playing. I am committed to helping the Meshwesh complete as much of the technology research as we can, even if we can learn most of the technologies from another faction. I have been working to revitalize the Meshwesh Research Institute (MRI) guild after it went nearly inactive for quite some time to help make this happen. I believe with all of us working together, we can get a lot of the research done.

Q5: What is your view on the faction system?

Since it is the only system that has been around since I've been playing, I have no basis of comparison with past tales. I am certainly glad that the tribute wars were stopped because the tribute system caused a lot of bad feelings. I do love the helpful, relaxed atmosphere of the Meshwesh faction, and appreciate the close-knit community that it fosters.

Closing

I am excited to be considered to represent and support the Meshwesh in the role of Elder. Meshwesh has accomplished a lot this tale with both research and large scale projects by working together, and I'd like to make sure that trend continues through the remainder of the tale. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I hope it helps with your decision!
