Effects of constructions
Here we track data about the effects of constructions and activity on the ecology.
Construction | Heavy Metals | Acidity | Water Table | Phosphorous | Nitrogen | Soot | Effect delay | Recovery time/rate | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Emptying Water | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | |
Emptying Salt Water | ? | +pH | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | 1500 jugs raised pH between 3.0 and 6.0 (to between 10 and 13 from baseline). 200 jugs raised pH 0.400 from baseline |
Effects of ecology
The effects of ecology on agriculture.
T8 Note: Soot dissipates at approximately 1 point per 5 hours with no actions taken.
Activity | Heavy Metal | pH Level | Water Table | Phosphorous | Nitrogen | Potassium | Soot | Salinity | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Onion Yield, Tears of Sinai | 0 | ? | 100 | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | 2 yield, 1 seed |
Mushroom Ecology
Track the ecology at the start/end of mushroom spawn times to determine what factors attract mushrooms and what effects mushrooms have.
Mushroom | Time | Location | Heavy Metals | pH Levels | Groundwater | Soot | Nitrogen | Potassium | Phosphorous | Salinity | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Example: Nature's Jugs | Peret III-15 7:20AM-8:30AM, | 986, 2351, Asyut, zFree grass | 0 | 4.0758 - 4.5852 | 151 | 0 | 103-107, grass | base | base | 0 | Soot 0 at spawn location, no mushrooms nearby where soot was 4. Nitrogen 103-107, on grass. Did not spawn nearby, nitrogen 127-130 on sand. |
T8 Notes:
Recently we have been offered some ecology hints from the devs, to help us figure things out. From these, we know for sure the following:
Salt Water Fungus:
-- * Only grows near very large bodies of water.
-- * Sensitive to phosphorus (needs a certain range)
-- * Increases salinity in the area.
-- * Removes lots of nitrogen from the soil.
Mushroom | Favors1 | Favors2 | Poisoned By 1 | Poisoned By 2 | Normalizes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Marasmius | Salinity (Any amount, but not very sensitive) | Nitrogen (baseline or more) | Soot |
Day/Night Cycle Ecology
- pH levels normally do not change in plain grass (Far from Flora) over the course of a standard Egypt day. Any shifts observed should be considered a deviation from baseline. (Based on short study by User:Afrah.)
Correlations between Ecology Survey Kits and "Spot Tests"
When an Ecology Survey kit is used and the squares are grey, the results are considered to be "baseline" or normal. When the results are not "normal" the different colors indicate where the spot tests will give different results. Multiple spot tests within the same colored area have given the same results. Tests for groundwater, pH and heavy metals have given up to 25 different colored blocks to be tested.
Nitrogen:
- Grey (baseline) is 100
- Green has been tested at 98
- Aqua has been tested at 97
pH:
- Grey is 7.0
- When I tested in a location that yielded non-grey results, the color changes indicated pH changes. Testing within one color yielded the same results. One ecology kit showed 25 different blocks of color, each of which yielded different pH values. Examples: 0.7296, 0.7550, 0.8594, 1.1714, 1.2314, 1.2698, 1.4952, 1.5552, 1.6880, 1.7482
Potassium:
- Aqua has been tested at 99
