Test of the Fashionable Facade
The test of the fashionable facade
We must first define a new architectural style (see below). Anyone can present a plan to Pharaoh's architectural committee in the form of books (similar system and scoring to Library of Alexandria). At the end of the (in game) month, the highest scoring plan becomes the new current style.
To pass the test, you must build the most ambitious temple complex.
Defining a new architectural style
You must select a list of 7 to 42 building materials used in your architectural style proposal.
The prevalence of each material must be specified, affecting the quantity necessary for construction.
Building a temple in the current style
In addition to the 7 to 42 building materials selected, the seven following materials are always required for the foundations:
- dirt (moderate amount)
- bricks (large amount)
- clay bricks (large amount)
- cement (small amount)
- small stone blocks (moderate amount)
- cut stone (small amount)
- concrete (moderate amount)
The prevalence specified for each material affects the amount required for a specific size of building (similar to obelisks or cartouche buildings).

Changing the current style
At the end of the month, if a higher scoring plan has been presented it becomes the new style, otherwise the current style remains.
The required score is reduced by 1/7 for the following month if no change occurs.
Temple bonuses
Once passed, a temple can be dedicated to a god or goddess by installing decorative items (perhaps requiring goldwork and lapidary skills).
Praying at a dedicated temple confers a small bonus for the day (stats, blacksmithing or glassblowing, anything else the devs are willing to add) depending on the god.
The most impressive temple of its style in all of egypt confers a slightly larger bonus.
