The Chancery is used to enable faction chat in regions that are neutral or owned by another faction.

- Citizens of the Chancery's sponsor House can Check their Progress toward House rank promotion.
- Sponsor House Elders can make a House Announcement
- May enable voting by sponsor's citizens on their House votes in the region
Historically (but not in T10+), Chanceries also
- Enabled faction chat in the non-faction region
- Allowed purchase of Faction rewards, similar to at the Great Hall
