The Wood Plane is the most basic building for cutting Wood into Boards.

This building becomes available once you have learned Carpentry.
Cost
- 4 Slate
- 1 Stone Blade
Built Outside (Self > Projects).
Use
- Plane 1 Wood from your inventory into 1 Boards.
- The Wood Plane uses stone blades to cut the wood.
They will break frequently, at which point the wood plane must be repaired with a new blade (from your inventory). - It takes about 10 stone blades to cut about 100 boards.
That's 20 slate at Stone Blade Fabrication level 7.
Pollution
The area near an active wood plane can cause "Poor Soil" pollution. The affects flax production with reduced or zero yields.
