Cuttable gems are semi-precious stones generated by a Water Mine. You can also find them rarely by Prospecting (using a prospecting axe). They come in seven varieties:
- Cuttable Amethyst
- Cuttable Citrine
- Cuttable Garnet
- Cuttable Jade
- Cuttable Lapis
- Cuttable Sunstone
- Cuttable Turquoise
New update introduced in Tale 8 adds these four gem types. Sources yet to be verified.
- Cuttable Almandine
- Cuttable Aquamarine
- Cuttable Kunzite - Can be found collecting slate (1 find from about 3500 slate)
- Cuttable Morganite - found occasionally while digging dirt. Can be found collecting slate.
Not to be confused with the non-cuttable ordinary Gems (quartz, emerald, sapphire, ruby, diamond, opal, and topaz). These mainly come from ordinary mines but are occasionally produced by Water Mines as well.
Also not Cut Gems which are the product of Cuttable Gems once cut on a Gem Cutting Table.
Use
- Cuttable gems can be cut on a Gem Cutting Table into Cut Gems of various shapes.
- As with regular gems, cuttable gems can be pulverized in a Chemistry Laboratory to make Powdered Gems.
- Required as tuition for several Skills.
