| − | I started playing this game in T2 under a different name: Fingerly. Why Fingerly? I was drawn here from a chess website by another chess player I had known online for a couple of years -- on that website, I went by Fingerly (the name comes from a bizarre story about a cruel pet monkey and an innocent cat that I thought was indicative of my chess style, but I know now that I'm not as good at the game as I thought!). We camped in a little guild between Karnak proper and DrDave's mentorship guild far to the west. Zatarg joined our guild before he ever became a developer, and I had the pleasure of showing him how the T2 mining system worked. Another player in this guild was YamiJedi: some of you may remember him. Things were not perfect, however, and our little guild collapsed under bizarre circumstances while I was offline. I logged in one day with most people having left the guild, and its chess-playing founder had abandoned Egypt entirely, leaving everything to me alone.
