What's new in Tale 9? (for returning players, but also may be helpful to new players)

The disciplines of Harmony and Leadership have been removed.

The discipline of Natural Philosophy has been added.

Tasks are suggestions of things to do. They are not mandatory. Some tasks give rewards upon completion.

The Talent system allows players to customize their character's stats and abilities with much more flexibility. (for more information, see Talents)

Behavior of trees when harvesting wood has changed. Wood is gathered from all the trees within an oasis with one click (instead of having to click each tree).

New basic water container: Canvas Bag. These are craftable on a Crafting Bench after a player has skilled up Clothwork. Schools of Thought no longer give free jugs.

Camel pens, sheep pens, and guild halls can no longer be used as infinite storage for straw, onions, and bricks & boards.

The Agriculture tech is now called Farming, and is available at UWorship.

Seeds given by the UWorship to paid accounts are carrot, garlic, onion, and leek. Cabbage seeds are no longer distributed in this manner. (how we get them is part of a task).

Cooking tuition no longer asks for cabbage.

Digging is easier. One person with +1 end is able to dig a single stone.

There is at least one new herb.

Each chariot has a full set of schools and many well-stocked camp locations.

A new chariot stop, Valley of Queens, has been built in West Kush.

Some skills and techs have been combined. For example, Indonesian Beehives are now part of the Beekeeping tech.

The Rocksaw Construction skill has been combined into the Stonecutting tech (at UArch called Stonework). To learn Stonework, you must pay the old rocksaw tuition of 10 flint.

Skills now level up more like Stone Blades did in earlier tellings. Though you can see when the XP bar is filled while doing stuff related to the skill.

The Mediterranean and Red Seas are now Salt Water. Sufficient quantities of salt water give potash and salt when evaporated in a tub.
