827 -7877 Journal day 1: We have found ourselves washed ashore, most of us alive except for poor Angelo. The shipwreck must have been too much for him. We will make camp for the night and bury him in the morning. Tomorrow we will split into 2 groups to find more survivors or natives of this land. Paolo, Jacopo, and I will set off to the southeast to try and cross this river and Giorgio, Vincenzo, and Francesco will head to the southwest. -Pietro
