  • For the USA Eastern Time is 0500 (March 8th thru November 1st for 2020) for EDT, but then during EST has to manually be changed to 0400.

What to Do and How Scores are Accrued

Instructions appear in the Events chat:

  • Collect your 75 Cuttable Zircon (1/3 of the gem catalog list) from any School of Thought at any Chariot Stop or next to any University of Thought at any time.
  • Each player can only use their own collected Cuttable Zircon and may not use more from another player.
  • Cuttable Zircon can only be used during the event.
  • Scoring is below. First cut gives 50 points, Second cut adds 30 more points to your score, etc with a max of 19 cuts per Cuttable Zircon.
  • Uniqueness is more valuable in this event, meaning you will get a higher score for finishing many different cut gems. The difficulty or rareness of the cut is not rewarded.

Strategy to Think About when Cutting Gems

Take a look at the Cut Gems page to see the different standard gem cuts.

Because of the incrementally lower score points, strategy based upon uniqueness is more important than skill.

Knowing all of the rare flaws and being able to spot them will still help.
