Welcome to the page for the-microphone-that-has-not-yet-been-named. When it is named, this information will be moved to the (similarly named) guild page.

This microphone will serve as global chat for all Egypt. The purpose will be to provide an open, fundamentally uncensored forum for everyone. If you'd like to be a moderator, please come join the guild (once it's named and operational....for now, feel free to chat LuluDivine or Augir).

Moderation rules are simple. For moderators:

  • Don't censor things unless they are egregious (violent threats, racist screeds).
  • If a post is f-bombs every other word in a wall o' swearing, feel free to give a (public) warning to tone it down after the first such post from someone (and then you can delete posts from that person that continue to be profanity torrents in the same conversation). But don't be censoring posts for a few curse words here and there.
  • If you ever delete a post, note that you've done so (and why) publicly in the channel. No private/silent moderating.
  • If the chat heats up, and posts are flying fast and furious - do not slow down the posts on purpose.
  • Moderators are welcome to use an auto-post macro. This is actually encouraged.

If a moderator deletes players posts for any other reason, slows down posts to control a conversation, etc, they'll be asked to no longer moderate.

Got questions? Chat LuluDivine or Augir in game or on Discord.
