To prospect for quarries: 2 players stand on the same EW coordinate, 30 coordinates apart. Player 1 has the slate. You stay parallel, checking every 30 cords as you slowly walk north. When you get a 2 break on the slate, that means the quarry spot is in the circle that the 2 players are on the opposite sides of. The goal is to make that circle smaller and smaller until you are standing on top of each other.

At the 2 break, player 1 stops and stands still, and player 2 moves 1/2 way to player 1 and stands still. You are going to figure out which part of that first big circle the quarry is in, by testing in each section NSEW of the big circle. Do this by having player 2 stand still, player 1 tries 15 cords N, then S then E then W of player 2. When you get 2 break, now you have a new smaller circle that you know the quarry is in. Each time you have a 2 break, use the same process by having player 2 move 1/2 way to player 1, and player 1 tests in each direction to see the next new smaller circle.

It helps to zoom out and visually see that the 2 players are gradually making the circle smaller and smaller until you are standing on top of each other.

If you can't find a 2 break after your first successful 2 break, then it may be because the quarry spot is on the far edge of a coordinate and so your circle is a little bit too small. Add a coordinate between players to make the circle a bit larger and retest until you find the 2 break.
