General Information

'"The Sphinx" is an alias, created by the Ancient Greeks for a statue that was already centuries old.' 'The statues original purpose was to ask for protection from the god of the sky, Horus, and would of been known by the Ancient Egyptians as "Hor-em-akhet" meaning "Horus in the horizon"'

Test Goal

Band together as a group of 14 players to carve out Hor-em-akhet

  • Forge a Copper Chisel
  • Dig up a Silicified Sandstone block (1 TP)
  • Carve Silicified Sandstone into Low Relief Carvings (1 TP)
  • Forge a Bronze Chisel
  • Dig up an Anhydrite Block (1 TP)
  • Carve Anhydrite into High or Sunken Relief Carvings (1 TP)
  • Complete Hor-em-akhet (3 TP)

  • Silicified Sandstone (Item)
    • Only found in the southern most region of Egypt (Aswan IRL) or Gebel
    • Dug using the same method as limestone blocks
    • 1x Limestone Block = 3x Low Relief Carvings
  • Anhydrite (Item)
    • Only found in the Red Sea region of Egypt
    • Dug using the same method as limestone blocks
    • 1x Anhydrite Block = 3x High Relief Carvings (Copper Chisel)
    • 1x Anhydrite Block = 1x Sunken Relief Carving (Bronze Chisel)"
  • Shabti Mould (Item)
    • Same process as Nail Mould
  • Faience (Sintered-quartz ceramic) (Item)
    • "1 Clay + 1 Quartz
    • Moulded in a Shabti Mould and fired in a kiln"
  • Shabti Dolls (Item)
    • 1:1 Ratio... 1 Faience & 1 Vitreous Coating
  • Vitreous Enamel (Item)
    • Made by melting down Glass Dust (Any type) into a liquid substance and used to cover the shabti doll to create a shiny coating.
    • Made on a glaziers bench dependant on the type of dust used.
  • Relief Sculpting (Skill)
    • Lvl 0 - Low Relief
    • Lvl 1 - High Relief
    • Lvl 2 - Sunken Relief (This is the method the Ancient Egyptians are famous for and its how they carved their sculptors)
Details
  • Silicified Sandstone and Anhydrite are prospected and dug the same way limestone blocks work using glass rods and the tapping system
    • Silicified Sandstone can only be obtained in Gebel & Southern Egypt (IRL it comes from around the city of Aswan, not sure where that would be in game terms) and Gebel
    • Anhydrite can only be obtained from the Red Sea
  • Copper Chisels are used to care Low Relief Carvings
  • Bronze Chisels are used to carve Sunken Relief Carvings
