A Drying Rack is a basic outdoor building in which various resources can be dried, for example to convert Grass into Straw.

The Flax Hammock is an improvement over the Drying Rack (being faster), but is also more expensive to build.

Use

A Drying Rack can only be built outside using the menu option Projects → Flax Related → Drying Rack.

• Dry up to 300 Grass into Straw.

Time varies by amount (200 takes 15 min).

• Dry up to 20 Papyrus into Dried Papyrus and may produce Papyrus Seeds (hf) at high altitudes.

Time varies by amount (20 takes 22 min).

Altitude affects seed yield (higher = more).

• Dry up to 10 Rotten Flax into Dried Flax

1 real life minute per flax.

• Dry Wet Rabbit Pelts into Rabbit Pelts.
• Dry up to 4 Wet Linen back into Linen.

4 take 15 minutes.

• Dry up to 200 Wheat into Wheat (Dried, Raw).

200 Wheat takes 15 minutes.

HotKeys

• W = dries wheat (brings up window to select wheat from inventory)
