Pyramids cannot be built directly. They require that a temporary structure called a Pyramid Construction Site to be assembled, which then is loaded with limestone blocks. When all the blocks are loaded, the pyramid needs to be consecrated. The site then vanishes and the new pyramid stands in its place.
Pyramid Construction Sites are permanent buildings. They do not collapse like regular construction sites after 2 hours. This timer is reset whenever anything is loaded into the site. If you have loaded bricks into the site and then tear it down, all bricks inside are lost.
