What gene does it hit?

Making good progress! If you would like to make a contribution to the effort, please contact Peacefulness in-game or on Discord.

If you're looking to design a vine, I can remove one gene in the range listed and replace it with a G, O, R, or Y.

Up to six single genes in a vine can now be reliably exchanged. I have not worked extensively with other plants, but understand just enough to be dangerous!

Practical (simplified) example:

  • In a greenhouse, put Plant A (10 genes, ABCDE FGHIJ) in the Left Splint
  • Put Vine B (5 genes, KLMNO) in the Right Splint
  • Apply the mutagen: Mottled Smelly Striped
  • In one minute, you can take out two new plants
    • Child#1 will be ABCDE FGHMJ
    • Child#2 will be KLINO
