I have an idea on a Obelisk queue for live and want to get the opinion of the Meshwesh. It seems the point of the queue is to have a somewhat organized progression through the test and to limit the over expenditure of materials. It also seems a hallmark of Obelisk queues is to shun those that jump the queue. Competing with each other feels like an important part of the test. Shunning our fellow Meshwesh for playing the game the way they want to (and most likely the way it was designed to) seems like a zero-sum game scenario as we would want to foster a healthy community where we can depend on our fellow Meshwesh to contribute in research, gaining territory, etc. and losing a shunned player to another faction does nothing to strengthen our ability to keep up.

To that end, I suggest an Obelisk queue that randomizes the order people get pulled, allows for newcomers to have an equal chance to be picked, and accommodates those that wish to jump the queue.

1. A list of players that want to join the queue would be created. The person running the Obelisk queue would not be allowed to be on that list until a fair number of Obelisks have been built through the queue. New people could join the list at any time.

2. Two random names would be selected from the list. The first name pulled would be the initial 'builder' that will pass the test first from the Queue. The second name will be the 'follow-up builder' that will pass the test second.

3. Once the builder passes their test, the follow-up builder takes their space and a new follow-up builder is randomly drawn from those already on the list and anybody that had added their name to the list since the last drawing.

4. If a player wants to jump the queue, then so be it. The queue will pause and wait for that person to pass the test. Once that has happened the queue will resume. This way we are not wasting extra materials attempting to combat one of our peers. We would only spend the absolute minimum materials to pass the test at the time we are passing it.

5. We would encourage those that wish to jump the queue to let the queue organizer know so that it can be planned for.

6. If somebody is drawn for the builder or follow-up builder position and they are not ready to build their Obelisk yet, then an new name will be randomly selected and they will return to the pool to be drawn from.

7. Once new Obelisks unlock, another queue will be created for that new type. All members of the queue will be copied over to the list of those wanting to build the new Obelisk to keep things fair, but anybody can request only be on particular lists. If your name is drawn on multiple lists at the same time, then you would need to choose which Obelisk to build and a new name will be drawn for the vacant spot.

8. If the follow-up builder has not responded to confirm that they are ready to build their Obelisk by the time the builder passes, then they will be returned to the queue and a new follow-up builder will be drawn.

I think that pretty much covers everything I can think of at this time. For full disclosure, the only time I have ever passed the test of the Obelisk was in Tale 1 and a queue was not used. I could run this queue if people are interested in this being how Meshwesh handle Obelisk (assuming Tale 9 doesn't invalidate this), but if a more established/reputable player is desired, then I have no issue with that either.
