Sledgeball 2.0 -- Gravel making party

Principles

  • Teams: Red / Blue / Green .. etc. - as needed - EQUAL PLAYERS
  • Timed event—AND/OR—Each team start with equal Medium stones ..OR BOTH?
  • Game over when TIMER UP - &/OR - ALL GRAVEL IS MADE
  • Teams start with equal amounts ofstone (each individual brings 10 Medium stone

The PLayers in each team...

  • "Dropper" -- Stationary - holds all the medium stones
  • "Smasher" -- Stands next to the Dropper and smashes each stone as dropped
  • "Goalie" -- Stationary - At either end of the field (Alt is ideal)
  • "Chasers" -- Mobile - Runs and picks up the stones to hand to their Goalie

The Field - open gravel crunching field ..

  • Dropper and Goalie for RED and BLUE teams set up equal distances APART .. [Dropper and Goalie might be across field from each other]
  • CHASERS/ pickers are mobile .. [stealing can be punished by another glass of wine or?]

HOW TO PLAY:

PHASE 1

  1. DROPPER—drops a medium stone (or stack)
  2. SMASHER—smashes ONE w/ sledgehammer—breaks into 2 parts ...
  3. CHASERS—grab the first 2 parts - always get any bits from the SMASHER ..
  4. CHASERS—Hand all the stones to your DROPPER

Hint; Dropper and Smasher can get into a rhythm and keep the chasers hopping .. 1-2 1-2 .. etc. Continue until ALL medium stones into 2 pieces—and all pieces stashed back on the Dropper

PHASE 2

  1. DROPPER—drops all next size stone bits ..
  2. CHASERS—REPEAT as each size gets to pre gravel
  3. CHASERS—Hand all the stones to your DROPPER

PHASE 3 -- The FUN Bit

  1. CHASERS—run amok - beat the clock
  2. when THE next step is gravel .. everyone can make the gravel
  • NOW BEGINS THE 'FREE FOR ALL' - STEALING PUNISHED WITH MORE WINE !
  • chasers and everyone now—CAN RUN AMOK SMASH gravel, PICK and stash
