Salts of Metal are chemical compounds produced in an Acid Bath. Every type of metal produces its own salt (e.g. Salts of Iron, Salts of Aluminum, etc.). You will need the Neutralization tech to construct and use the acid bath.
Not to be confused with ordinary Salt.
Cost
- 1 Sulfuric Acid
- 1 Potash
- 25 Water
- 7 Metal any of the same type
Notes:
- You must be holding the desired metal in your inventory to see the option to make salts.
- You cannot make salts of metal from an Alloy (brass, bronze etc.) only base metals (iron, copper etc.)
Use
- Used to provide color in the crafting of Stars (fireworks) for the Test of Pyrotechnics.
- Salts Of Iron are used to make Ink.
- Used to plate (and purify) Treated Metal in a Chemical Bath.
- 7 Salts of each metal (15) needed to upgrade Raeli Gliderports with colors
Research and Tuition
- 2000 Salts of Copper required for Metal Treatment
- 2000 Salts of Zinc required for Metal Treatment
Metal Salts
- Salts of Aluminum
- Salts of Antimony
- Salts of Copper
- Salts of Gold
- Salts of Iron
- Salts of Lead
- Salts of Magnesium
- Salts of Platinum
- Salts of Silver
- Salts of Tin
- Salts of Zinc
Production
As the acid reacts with the metal over time, precipitate will be generated. The longer the metal soaks in the acid, the more precipitate (and salts) will be produced; however, the rate at which additional salts are created diminishes with time. To take the salts, you need to Filter the Precipitate. This filters the metal salts from the bath, and ends the process. The salts are then available on the Bath's Take menu.
NOTE: Salts do not need to be removed from the Acid Bath to make a new batch of salts.
Approximate times are (in Teppy-Time):
- 2-5 salts within 1 minute
- 6 salts in 3 minutes
- 7 salts in 5 minutes
- 8 salts in 8 minutes
- 9 salts in 13 minutes
- 10 salts in 20 minutes
- 11 salts in 29 minutes
- 12 salts in 42 minutes
- 13 salts in 57 minutes
- 14 salts in 1 hour 15 minutes
- 15 salts in 1 hour 40 minutes
- 16 salts in 2 hours
- 17 salts in 3 hours
- 18 salts in 4 hours
- 19 salts in 5 hours
- 20 salts in 6 hours
- 21 salts in 7 hours
- 22 salts in 8 hours
- 23 salts in 10 hours
- 24 salts in 12 hours
- 25 salts in 14 hours
- 26 salts in 16 hours
- 27 salts in 18 hours
- 28 salts in 20 hours
- 29 salts in 24 hours
- 30 salts in 29 hours
- 36 salts in 62 hours
- 43 salts in 5 days
A formula that fits close to the above times is salts = floor((teppyseconds*8)^0.25)
