Details
At tuning level 3 the Steam Distaff processes 6 lint or tow per duck minute. This is not 1 per 10 seconds, as it jumps in groups of six per minute, not adjusting 1 per 10 seconds. I did not test speed before tuning or at Level 1 or 2. - TimberNZ, Tale 8
Use
- Spin Lint into Thread
- Spin Tow into Twine
- Spin Twine into Rope
- Spin Wool into Yarn
- Spin Thread into Linen Cord
- Spin Steel Wire into Cable (Does this require a pinch roller upgrade?)
Further Upgrades
The Steam Distaff may be tuned using the Mechanics skill to increase operating speed - though not efficiency - or upgraded with Springbox to improve both speed and efficiency. Data is needed on the exact improvements a given springbox may be expected to make.
